A Connecticut judge has declared missing New Canaan mother Jennifer Farber Dulos officially dead, just days before socialite Michelle Troconis is scheduled to appear in court in connection with her disappearance. Jennifer went missing on May 24, 2019, in New Canaan, Connecticut. Despite the fact that she was never located, authorities have previously stated that evidence indicates she was the victim of a violent crime and is now deceased.
Her husband, real estate developer Fotis Dulos, was accused of her murder, but he insisted that he had nothing to do with his wife’s disappearance, even going so far as to say on television that he was “worried” about her. He died two days later in a New York City hospital after trying suicide at his home in 2020.
Jennifer’s body was never discovered. According to documents released by Hearst Connecticut Media Group, “extensive efforts have been made by local and State Police authorities to locate her body,” Judge William P. Osterndorf stated in October 2023.
“To date, more than four years have passed and the body of Jennifer has not been located. Neither Jennifer’s mother, children, other family members and friends have been contacted by Jennifer since May 24, 2019. The inescapable conclusion is Jennifer is deceased,” the judge added.
Dulos’ children, now aged 13 to 17, are currently in the care of their grandma.
The forthcoming trial of Michelle Troconis
Michelle, Fotis’ lover, is charged with second-degree obstruction of prosecution, tampering with physical evidence, and conspiracy to commit murder. She and Fotis were allegedly involved in Jennifer’s murder, and she assisted in the cover-up.
Michelle’s trial was set to start on January 8. It was later rescheduled for January 11. The jury for the case has been chosen, with 12 people chosen, including six jurors and six alternates.
Jennifer was going through a contentious divorce with Fotis at the time of her death. According to Law & Crime, Jennifer stated that Fotis had vengeance fantasies against persons he believed had mistreated him and had once attempted to attack her with a car.
